«Робинзон Крузо» (англ. Robinson Crusoe) — роман Даниэля Дефо, впервые опубликованный в апреле 1719 года, названный по имени главного героя. Эта книга дала начало классическому английскому роману и породила моду на псевдодокументальную художественную прозу; её нередко называют первым «подлинным» романом на английском языке.Сюжет романа, скорее всего, основан на реальной истории Александра Селькирка, боцмана судна «Cinque Ports» («Сэнк Пор»). Селькирк отличался крайне неуживчивым и склочным характером, в 1704 году он был высажен по собственному требованию на необитаемый остров, снабжён оружием, продовольствием, семенами и инструментами.
